About JMA HR & Legal
Joanna Atkinson formed JMA HR & Legal having practised in the field of employment law for over 15 years and alongside her extensive legal experience she also has a keen interest in human resource management. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the Employment Lawyers Association.
Joanna qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and has been a partner of a leading law firm in Oxfordshire and worked in the City prior to joining an HR consultancy as its Head of HR and Legal.
Over the years, Joanna has advised small and medium sized businesses, large multi-national organisations and those operating in the charity and public sectors on the full range of employment law and HR issues. She has also continued to act for employees, in particular those at senior and Director level, advising on individual matters of employment law, including Employment Tribunal claims and compromise agreements.
Joanna is regular speaker at seminars and runs practical workshops on current HR and employment law matters.
